    Kevin Thueson – Partner

    Kevin began his career as a CPA with global accounting firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers, working with private companies to analyze their financial statements, business processes, and internal controls. After 10 years he decided it was time to put that skillset to work for himself and found the RV and mobile home parks niche in the real estate market – this provided the opportunity to leave his job and jump into full-time real estate investing. He bought his first RV Park, the Green River KOA franchise, in 2018 and within 4 seasons grew that business to nearly double the revenue and in turn leveraged that equity to acquire 2 more KOA franchises in 2020 with Cam Bowen. In his free time Kevin likes to hike, mountain bike and fish with his family.

    Cam Bowen – Partner

    Cam has been an active real estate investor since 2008. During his tenure at a wealth management firm in Texas he built a personal portfolio of single-family rental homes. Over the course of eight years he grew the portfolio to over 130 single-family and multifamily rentals, generating consistent returns for his investor group. In 2020 he purchased 2 RV campgrounds with Kevin, and moved back to Utah. Cam loves the outdoors and taking his family skiing, camping and hiking.

    Nate Thompson – Partner

    Nate is an entrepreneur at heart having started, scaled and sold several high tech companies in the Seattle region since starting his first software business in 1995. He is also a passionate real estate investor, having successfully led investments in multiple value-add multi-family and commercial properties over the last 25 years. At the same time he has led successful real estate development projects in the Park City, UT area. These projects have consistently delivered excellent returns to the investor group Nate works with. Nate teamed up with Kevin and Cam in 2021 to form KCN and grow a world-class portfolio of outdoor hospitality properties. In his free time Nate loves to ski, hike, trail run, camp and mountain bike with his family.

    John Burke – Advisor

    John, a 19-year veteran at Kampgrounds of America (KOA), held roles from Senior Vice President of Franchise Finance and Operations to Chief Financial Officer, contributing to the company’s growth and franchisee relations. An avid sportsman, John enjoys golf, skiing, and pickleball, as well as spending time with his grandkids.

    Julie Larson – Controller

    Julie has an MBA and over 25 years experience in accounting and finance, spending 18 of those years at Microsoft with a focus on finance operations. Real estate has always been an interest and, along with her husband, she currently owns and manages 3 single family rental properties. Julie and her husband have also converted 3 uninhabitable cash-only properties into affordable FHA-financeable homes purchased by first time homebuyers, and they are working on their 4th such project. Outside of work, Julie enjoys kayaking on local lakes, painting and drawing, and tackling the New York Times crossword puzzle.

    Brandon Krug – Regional Manager West

    Brandon, working in the outdoor hospitality industry since 2017, started at his first KOA at the South Padre Island Texas KOA. Since then he has worked in Tennessee, South Dakota and Wisconsin at other KOA locations. Brandon joined the KCN team in 2022, when they acquired the KOA in Wisconsin Dells. In his off-time Brandon enjoys being in the outdoors, hiking and camping, cooking, and traveling to new places for new experiences.

    Lee Ann Oliver – East Regional Manager

    Lee Ann and Jim Oliver have been proud members of the KOA family since 2012. Prior to KOA, both Lee Ann and Jim served in the Navy. Following their retirement from the U.S. Navy, they embraced life on the open road, combining their love of travel with the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life. What began as a curiosity about work camping quickly evolved into a true passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences. Over the years, their journey has taken them coast to coast, managing and supporting multiple KOA properties along the way. Known for their hands-on leadership, strong work ethic, and genuine care for guests and team members alike, the Olivers’ bring a wealth of experience and dedication to every campground they serve.

    Sean Boden – Operations Manager

    Sean started his KOA journey while at Liberty University in 2013 when a friend told him about an opportunity to work with Summershine Ministry Resorts at Mount Rushmore KOA in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Since that first stint Sean has been with the KOA family for 10 years as of Memorial Day 2023. His roles have ranged between front desk, front office, maintenance and repairs and grounds crew. Over his time within KOA he has grown his responsibilities, taking on more manager and leadership responsibilities. He has worked at a number of campgrounds including Mount Rushmore SD, Williamsburg VA, Monroe MI, Cherokee NC, Abilene TX, Lumberton NC, Pigeon Forge TN, and Goodland KS. In His free time he collects coins, reads historical books, hikes and volunteers at his local church.

    Rachel Williamson – Senior Marketing Manager

    Rachel brings a decade of outdoor hospitality marketing experience to KCN from her previous tenure at Kampgrounds of America Inc (KOA). There, she played a pivotal role in Franchise Marketing for New Owners, she crafted the KOA New Owner Onboarding Process, and she led marketing efforts for all acquisitions within the portfolio of KOA-owned properties (OAK). At KCN, Rachel leverages her deep industry knowledge and strategic acumen to drive our revenue growth through innovative marketing campaigns and data-driven analysis. Rachel is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys getting out hiking with her dog, Kenobi. She spends her free time with her family, exploring the Wisconsin Peninsula, and sometimes dabbles in arts and crafts.

    Lexie Andrus – Operations Analyst

    Lexie Andrus plays a pivotal role in KCN’s operations, bringing a blend of organization, dedication, and adaptability to the team. She began her journey with KCN by assisting Kevin Thueson, helping streamline his workflow and manage day-to-day tasks. Over time, her role expanded significantly, now encompassing a wide range of responsibilities that support the entire organization. Lexie’s contributions span from arranging travel and coordinating events to providing critical support during the pre- and post-acquisition processes for new properties, ensuring smooth transitions and operational success. Her behind-the-scenes efforts have been instrumental in implementing team ideas and turning them into actionable results, often in ways that go unnoticed but make a tangible difference. In addition to her professional expertise, Lexie balances her role at KCN with being a devoted mother, skillfully managing the needs of her family alongside the demands of a dynamic workplace. Her dedication and ability to multitask have made her an integral part of KCN’s growth and success.

    Shawn Aschliman – Revenue Director

    Shawn has extensive experience in the hospitality industry. He has held various roles in working with hotels, from front desk to general manager, and has specialized in revenue management for over 22 years. Throughout his career, he has supported more than 20 different hotel and resort brands and is now excited to have shifted into the world of outdoor hospitality. Shawn enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, disc golf, pickleball, and beekeeping, as well as spending quality time with his family.
